Turkey Trottin'

This past Sunday, Curtis, me and some friends ran the COMEA House 5k Turkey Trot in Cheyenne. All our entry fees went to the COMEA House which helps the homeless in Laramie County. My mom volunteered with them for years so I've seen what good this organization does for their community. I really hate running, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. Curtis solidified his status as the best husband ever by sticking with me through the whole thing even when he could have finished in half the time and even when I was being hella crabby. He even let me finish before him! "Best Co-workers Ever" awards go to Anna and Jack who finished and then came back to help me finish. Jack screaming in my ear might be the best motivation ever. Also, big props to Lesley! One day I'm going to be able to at least keep up with you. Maybe...
I'm gonna think of this run as "rock bottom" so there's no where to go but up! Who's doing the next one with us?!

Look, Ma! I did it! And with back-up!

And he did the whole thing holding all my stuff!

I sure love this man.

A long time ago, I was going to do a series of paintings that was somehow music-centric. I finally got around to finishing my first attempt. I messed around with watercolors and finished it up with my ink pens. I was working on it while watching Ginger Snaps, which might explain why the lines are so shaky some places. Alix, if you ever turn into a werewolf, I won't kill you.

Skull Lady

Snowed in at home, so I finally got around to messing with the inking pens Curtis got me for Christmas. This little lady's been a work in progress for awhile now.

It's winter again...

It's so damn cold. Time to get back to painting people with abnormally large eyes.

Florence and the Machine

I am recently in looove with Florence and the Machine. Her voice is beautiful and I want her hair. The way Florence and her little ballerinas dance reminds me of Beyonce, only volumes cooler.
PS. Sorry the video quality is crappy. Here's the official video which I couldn't embed for some reason.

Listen to "The Bird Song" too. It will make you a better person.

Watercolor Pencils

Curtis' mom got me some watercolor pencils for Christmas and now I am messing around with them. Nothing earth shattering, but it's fun to play around with something new. Curtis will always be my favorite subject.
